Buck’s hair is gray at the temples, buzzed neatly on the sides and a bit longer and curlier on top than Chris remembers him wearing it, and there’s a new scar through one of his eyebrows. He looks good, like he’s living a happy life, and the only possible reason Chris can imagine for Buck to be here at Helena Diaz’s funeral in El Paso is that Chris’s father brought him.
“Why would you come?” Chris snaps at him.
Buck blinks. “Why wouldn’t I come?”
“She didn’t mean anything to you.”

Summary
Bucky didn't want much. Just to keep his head down, to sell his scavenged flowers in peace, and to stay off Shield's radar. His life would have been a lot easier if his flowers weren't dead and if being a necromancer wasn't illegal, but easy or not, he was getting by. Steve didn't want much, either. He was happy working for Shield, he had good friends, and overall his life was going just about the way he wanted it. Problem was, being happy with your life was generally an invitation for fate to throw a spanner in the works—and in Steve's specific case, it was going to be a spanner named Bucky.

Looking for a random family to let me take a Holiday portrait with. ($20!!)
So my name is Ben and I am a 24-year-old student. This year for Christmas/Hanukkah, I really want to confuse my relatives by making a Holiday card with myself and a random family saying something like “Seasons Greetings for the Solo-Organas!” Making it look like I married some random person and had kids. It will be an awkward photo for sure with lots of turtle necks and ugly clothes. I want to baffle my uncles and especially my parents. For maximum effect and contrast, I would prefer to have a picture with someone from the Order military…It would be harder for them to wrap their minds around. If you let me take a picture with you or your family, I will give you $20 and some copies of the card when I get them printed off. I think it will be pretty funny.
