A younger Florence Vassy writes a younger Freddie Trumper a fan letter in hopes he might mentor her. He flies her out to visit him and hires her as his second/they begin a relationship.
Seven years (and so much drama) later, they fly to Merano for the World Championship and encounter some similar events as in the musical, only everything’s just a little bit different as they are now quite different. Also, Florence is newly pregnant and Anatoly falls for Freddie this time and there's a threesome and there’s somehow even more angst?
(My main focus is Freddie/Florence though, so if you’re not into that, you might find this excruciating.)
