Ilya Rozanov, the tattoo artist who owns the shop next door, thinks boy scout Shane Hollander should take a ride on his motorcycle instead. But what starts out as a casual fling can't stay that way for long--not once Shane and Ilya discover the depths of their chemistry (and Ilya the many benefits of little spandex shorts). Both of them have been hurt before, and the only way to move forward is to get over their pasts. It's a hill climb in both directions, but if Shane Hollander can do anything, it's push himself to endure the burn when he knows the ride home will be that much more satisfying.

Their rivalry fizzles out before it ever has the chance to fully ignite, replaced instead by a beloved “bromance". In 2015, they come out to the NHL and the world.
No one believes them.
Or: Somehow, despite Shane and Ilya being out for two years, Scott Hunter is still considered the first openly gay player in the NHL, much to Ilya’s horror.
