“I think I loved you before I knew what to call it,” Sirius says, quiet, like it’s an accident he’s admitting it.

    Remus looks at him. “Yeah?”

Sirius shrugs, eyes still on him. “You were just there. Always.”

    A pause settles between them.

Then Remus, softer, “I think I did too.”

    While playing Fuck, Marry, Kill

Remus continues, “Alright then...of the survivors...I would marry Wormy.” Peter lets out an elated squeal. “I know for a fact that he can cook really well, he’s quite easygoing, and he’d make a wonderful little spoon for cuddling,” Remus winks cheekily at him. “Recipe for domestic bliss.”

“Aw, Moony, you’re lovely, aren’t you?” says Peter as Sirius mimes throwing up. Remus smiles, then blurts: “And lastly, well, I really want to shag Sirius, for obvious reasons.”

    Everyone freezes.

What, Remus thinks faintly, in the ever-loving fuck?

Sixth Year has just ended, and the Marauders are going camping. Remus John Lupin is about to discover many things about himself over just two days, not least of which is that he might be a little insane.

“You came looking for me?” Sirius asked quietly after a moment

“Mhm," kiss, "it’s cold – wanted my new favorite space heater to keep me warm.”

Sirius snorted and pulled away to look at Remus. “If either of us is the space heater it might be the one of us who runs so warm he wears shorts even in winter…”

Remus smiled, amused. “Are you calling me hot?”

But in Africa, Sirius finds more than just a way to give back to his best mate until they make their way back home to Britain. Instead, he finds Remus, a tall, tanned and grumpy ranger who's crispy exterior hides a heart of shy, mushy gold who might make him question where his home really is.

    Summary

Remus is difficult - he knows that. He can't hold down a job, he doesn't like to let people get close, and he really sucks at living up to the person he'd hoped to be as a kid. When he's offered a job to smile for the camera and pretend to be in love, he thinks it might be the best thing he ever could've hoped for.

Except, he's working with Sirius Black. The icon of modern rock who is actually just a moody, unpredictable, hot mess. A really hot mess.

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did was wrong, but we think you’re crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. What do you care?

You see us as you want to see us. In the simplest terms and most convenient definitions. It was how we saw each other at 7 o’clock this morning. We were brainwashed.
