Lestat’s eyes misted over at those words. “I knew, on stage at the trial, that you would never accept me. How could you? When you arrived at the tower with him, I knew then that there was only one path. I made the poet’s choice.”

They grew back together, like a broken bone, never set quite the same. It takes months to mend – slowly and painfully - but the joy of a broken bone is getting to use it again.

Bucky’s been running a finger over the blemish steadly this whole time,“That’s fucked up.” He says matter of factly, his eyes finally flicking up to meet Gale’s instead of staring at his knee.
“Told you.” Gale replies, reaching out his hand to cover John’s own. Moves it away from his knee and further up his thigh as he places his leg back down. He thinks he’s had enough war stories for one day.
“Guess that rules out exploring any kind of Daddy kink” John replies. Throat bubbling around the idea like it's a harmless joke, a bit of reprieve from how heavy it had gotten in the past ten minutes.
Gale’s eyes darken a shade, like bowing before your sparring partner. Two could play this game.
“I never said that.” He replies, batting his lashes coquettishly.

Gale’s voice has gone all deep and wanting, but the sound is still so shocking to his own ears when he replies, “Most of the people around here, call me Mr. Cleven.”
Bucky rolls his eyes, leaning into Gale’s space with a hand braced on the desk beside him. “King Cleven more like-” another round of giggles, “Nah I can’t do that. Your face is too sweet to be a mister, I’d sooner call you Babygirl, Buck.”

Summary
After being honorably discharged from the military, Steve follows in his mother's footsteps and becomes a nurse. He's hired by a private mental healthcare facility and that's where he meets Howard Stark, a patient who is much more than meets the eye. Howard says he's not supposed to be there, that he's being railroaded by his business partner. Steve has to decide if that's the truth or just another part of Howard's paranoia. Either way, he's falling for the guy, and he knows that's wrong.
This story has a nurse/patient relationship.

Sae’s heart gets broken, so jokingly he draws a pentagram, circles it with salt just in case, and recites bad verses from an old, absurd tome — a cookbook, no less — to summon a demon for his vengeance.
But the joke’s on him. The ritual works, and before he knows what’s happening, there’s a demon in his kitchen, looking as murderous to be there as Sae is shocked to see it. Now, Sae is stuck with an actual demon, but not quite far from the revenge fantasy he had momentarily entertained.
