Akutagawa was an independent worker. he had never chosen to work with a team, and he was very confidant that given the choice, the Armed Detective Agency wouldn't have worked with him either. They didn't have any sort of obligation to him, just like he had none to them. That didn't mean it doesn't sting when they ignore his injuries in favor of someone else's though, just because they were a bit worse.
OR
The five times Akutagawa's injuries were ignored because someone else's were worse, and the one time someone realized just how bad things were.

Finding out that a lie has pervaded years of your life isn’t exactly a great way to end a mission, especially when it results in complete ignorance about your own biology. At twenty years old, Akutagawa had thought he was done learning about himself, but that doesn’t seem to be the case at all. As it turns out, he hardly knows a thing.
Alternatively, asexual “beta” Akutagawa finds out that he’s actually an omega and has to figure out how to deal with his first ever heat (a series of unfortunate events that ends with Aku getting railed within an inch of his life).

All Chuuya has for the day is a rough notebook, a few pens and his phone. He has yet to buy the textbooks. He’ll do that during the weekend, he decides. He rummages through his bag and picks out the notebook. It’s a thin book, really, mostly because Chuuya doesn’t expect himself to make elaborate notes or anything. Maybe he’ll just record the lectures on his phone and listen to them like podcasts before the exams.
“That’s my seat,” he hears a voice that makes him look up.
“Excuse me?”
The other guy clicks his tongue in annoyance. “I said that’s my seat. You’re sitting on my seat.”
“Are the seats permanently assigned or something?”
“No.”
“Then sit somewhere else.”
The other guy blinks at him. Chuuya is ready for a fight if he has to. It’s not like he hasn’t dealt with bullies in the past. He’s somewhat proud to say that he has, perhaps, made them cry a lot more than the other way around. So, yeah, he’s ready for anything.
Except that the guy only smirks at him.
