Gale's stomach twists painfully. "Oh. I see. Well, It’s not like I wasn’t prepared to sacrifice myself once, right? For you, Astarion, anything."
Astarion turns slowly to face him, blanket still hitched up to his chin. “You think… you think I want to sacrifice you?”
Astarion figures out a way to walk in the sun again, and heads to Waterdeep to enlist Gale's help. They, obviously, fall in love along the way.

Summary
The orb is gone, and Gale is somehow, miraculously, still here. It’s more than Astarion could have hoped for, with Cazador dead on top of it and an offer of comfort and safety after all this, in a tower in Waterdeep.
So when Gale draws him close enough for Astarion to smell the now untainted blood rushing under his jugular, presses a kiss to his forehead and whispers, “It’s gone. Finally. You know what this means?” Astarion tries very hard not to let his stomach drop.
Astarion misunderstands a selfless offer from Gale, and tortures himself needlessly. Cuddles ensue.

Summary
Lane is pacing again. Charon can hear his heavy footfalls a room over, camped out in his -his! - bed with the reading lamp on. Not that he's getting much reading done. Lane's left his entire library out for Charon's perusal, but the tension thrumming through the thin metal walls has set his jaw on edge. Even when the boy's solved the Wasteland's problems almost singlehanded, Lane has found something new to be stressed about. It leaks out of him, flows like waves, makes Charon's own temples ache with a phantom symbiosis. The only headaches he ever gets anymore.
Lane never accepts failure, except from Charon.
The Lone Wanderer wants Charon's freedom, perhaps more than Charon himself does. He decides to venture out into the Commonwealth to find it, leaving Charon in Gob's ~capable~ hands.

“Look up,” Rimmer stated, voice cracking. He pointed a shaky finger to the roof of the bunk.
Lister’s gaze followed. There, taped to the top of the bunk with way too much Scotch tape, was a singular, very battered sprig of mistletoe that certainly hadn’t been there when he’d gone to sleep. It took Lister’s groggy mind a minute to process what it was, but when he did, he felt an overwhelming wave of fondness come over him. Oh. So that was what Rimmer was thinking.
Lister wakes up in the morning to find Rimmer sitting on top of him, having very strategically hung up some mistletoe for holiday related morale reasons.

Kurt expects him to look disappointed, disgusted or something. That’s what Blaine would’ve done. But David Karofsky smiles at him and lifts his glass as if to say ‘enjoy yourself’. And then he gives Kurt those… those bedroom eyes, those your ass will never feel the same because of me eyes, those… those eyes that make him want to do things he swore he’d never do again.
But this is what he’s used to, ignoring that age old longing and turning to the new guy.
