In addition to her 30-plus notebooks filled with song lyrics, Zoey keeps a very special one where she and Mira write down all the new things and behaviors that Rumi's demonic heritage causes in her. Let's see what it's been like sharing their lives with a half-demon.

    (Spoilers: Shenanigans ensue)

Each chapter explores different aspects of Rumi's demonic behavior, all following a kind of continuous narrative. This is the content that each chapter will cover:

Ch. 4: Prey Drive and Claws
Ch. 5: Salt, Horns and Eyes
    Ch. 6: ...Demonnip?
Ch. 7: Hypersensitive Senses, Nesting and Marking

    Summary

    She wants them.

She wants Mira and Zoey so badly, in whatever way, shape, or form that comes in.

For once in her life, Rumi wants to be selfish.

Or: HUNTR/X works towards sealing the Honmoon and falls in love along the way. Pre-reveal Rumi, hiding both her patterns and her wants, loves her girls in whatever way she can until she's free (whether that means shielding Mira and Zoey in fights or pretending to be something she's not). She just has to hold out until the Honmoon’s golden. Straightforward enough, right?

    Summary

Mira asks, “So, what, we just pretend ‘polytrix’ isn’t top one on the global trending list right now?”

“It’s—” Rumi physically freezes. It looks like it takes her a moment to compute what Mira had said, then she finishes stiffly, “It’s what?”

Mira’s never been one to lie; and, lo and behold, hashtag polytrix was indeed pressed up as number one on the social media app they’re staring at. Zoey glances down at the related hashtags trending with it: #ITSREAL #POLYTRIXONTOP #RUMIONBOTTOM #HUNTR/XGIRLS #TOTHEGAYWORLD

Or, Mira, Rumi, and Zoey get caught in the middle of their fans' shipping war—but maybe one ship in particular has more substance than the others.
