Summary

Broken, lost, and full of anger, Jasper doesn't trust herself and how she treats the things around her. She goes to the Crystal Gems with a simple request hoping they can salvage her.

Robert knew coming into his new position at SDN would come with so many new paths in life, he didn't need to worry about being only Mecha Man anymore. His new team was full of so many strange members, some more admirable than others, but he had no idea the level of admiration he'd fine inside one strange boy.
The power imbalance was definitely unhealthy, along with the gap in their levels of experience in this sort of thing, but Herman was only going to learn the ropes of being a superhero one way or another, and who better to learn from then the real deal, Mecha Man ?

God has abandoned us as we know it, as we contort and shift beyond our human comprehension, we seem to lose all humanity and values once cherished by mankind. In such isolation, it's easy to forget the beauty of connect and intimacy.
Trapped in solitude, surrounded in fellow strangers, it's uncomfortable to attempt any sort of connection. Everyone's on edge, everyone's fidgey and uncomfortable.
Though, two people have found themselves strangely entangled with each other. So much so, that in a world of chaos, where the world is falling to sand, they're willing to make an awfully ambitious choice if it means that in their last hours, they have found excitement and peace.

“Wh-when we get h-home,” Herman whispered next to his ear, giving Robert goosebumps. “Can I…b-bottom?”
Robert gave him a look. “Of course, Hermy.” He’d done it plenty of times before. While Herman usually preferred to top, they switched it up every now and then.
“I-it’s something…different,” Herman clarified, seemingly picking up on his confusion. He hesitated, seeming shy. “I’ll tell you m-more when we get home?”
No matter how many times Herm referred to his place as home, it still brought butterflies to Robert’s stomach.
He smiled. “Sure.”
