Summary
“This is fucked up,” Chaewon says and stands up, her anger flaring inside, turning from a speck of ember to a forest fire in seconds. “You’re fucked up for doing this.”
“I wanted it to be you, Chaewon,” Sakura says then, and it cuts through the anger. “But I’m glad it wasn’t because I would’ve ruined everything.”
It’s a six-year journey from total strangers to best friends, with all its ups and downs, and Chaewon wouldn’t have it any other way. Even if she can never be honest with Sakura. Even if she can never be herself. Even if they will never be more than friends.

Chaewon and Sakura must hide their true nature from everyone, including one another, to protect their careers in the entertainment industry. It all comes to a head when Sakura returns to Seoul after three years in Japan, and Chaewon suggests they room together. Some things are meant to be broken, but Chaewon isn’t sure their friendship should be categorized as such.

The Le Sserafim girls get asked who would be a good “boyfriend” among them.
Chaewon does not really care about the answers, but when Sakura points out that she would be a bad boyfriend, or in her words “not good enough” something inside her decides to change that thought.
And so, feelings that were kept in the dark come to light.
And new ones emerge.

He drops his M1911A1 as he slams into the trunk, and Jane uses the top of one boot to kick it up out of the leaf litter and catch it. She acts; no hesitation. The pistol is shoved into the back of his head, even as he is bouncing backwards off the tree, mid-route for the ground. Jane shoots. Blood and brains spatter everywhere.
