- her reputation, but that was a slope she’d come to realise was a blessing,
- her family; again, nothing to cry over there— she only has her dad, after all,
- and her arm. that was a stark loss.labelled a delinquent and forced with a year of probation, she’s shipped off to the renowned atlas academy with one singular goal: make it through the year without getting into trouble.
nowhere did they say to avoid reforming the shitty adults within atlas one by one by entering their minds and forcing them to repent. neither did they tell her not to fall for a woman that could lead her to her downfall, or her salvation, simply depending on her mood.
but hey.
at least life is more exciting when you have a personification of your psyche that can hurl fire at your foes. it’s just a pity she can’t use her extracurricular activities to skip classes.

blake belladonna is forever running, in mourning of a best friend she’d lost as a result of an awakening she’d never seen coming. branded a scelus— a set of people with superpowers that carry markings and a distinct animal trait that leaves them often spotted before they can fight back— she admits her fate to never have the comfort she so took for granted again.
yang xiao long is a huntress, trained to locate scelus and bring them to justice. wishing for revenge on her sister, a woman who the world believes to be dead, she’ll stop at nothing to find out the truth of what really happened that night that blake disappeared.
when the past begins to crumble and secrets start to surface, knowledge dawning that the faunus are not the ones to be feared, blake has to learn who she can trust and figure her own place in life again, even if her future seems to have been determined by outside forces from the very start.

She can barely think outside of the hips that collide with hers with every thrust, the sweat dripping down her temple, the gasps of two strangers filling the bathroom stall entirely. The pounding of the club music does little to stifle it, and she’s past the point of caring if anyone can hear them in their personal little bubble.
But she tries to piece together how she got here, to help her sanity— or worsen it.
And although she has no clue of this stunning stranger's name, the desire running through her veins is very much real, and she wishes she did have one to mix alongside the moans that she just cannot contain, no matter how hard she tries.

“What are you smiling about?” Ilia says as Blake reenters the living room.
“Percy was up reading,” Blake says. She holds up the book. “Fourth grade reading level.” Ilia whistles quietly.
“He’s gonna blow all the other kindergarteners out of the water in the fall,” she says. Blake’s smile turns into a grin.
“It’s not a competition,” she murmurs, despite the pride blooming in her chest.
“Too bad, because he’d win,” Ilia says. “But listen, we can talk about how cool your kid is any time. I wanna hear about this new friend of yours." Blake’s smile takes on an altogether different tone.
“Her name is Yang,” Blake says. “She’s…” Blake doesn’t even know where to start.
“You slept with her?”
Well, okay, they can start there.
