Summary
The first time Coen fights Brencis in Greifberg Castle, he dies.
Given a second chance, he's determined to save everyone. That includes the one boyar he invited in, the voice that lifted his spirits and accompanied him through the endless days and nights. With this thought in mind, he breaks into Ambrus' stronghold to try his luck with words where he'd once used a blade.
He didn't expect to catch the boyar while he bathed, however.

Marat didn't know why he asked this question in particular. Interest, research, boredom or perhaps the fact that he hadn't spoken to a person simply for the sake of talking in an awfully long time. It didn't matter, neither the reason nor the answer, and yet Marat couldn't help but listen closely when Coen replied.
"Like regret."

Summary
Coen has been picked as Ambrus' human blood feeder for half a dozen times now. He doesn't know if it's a gift or a curse to keep getting picked by Ambrus or not. He does know that Ambrus seems lonely, so as with any one else...Coen tries to befriend him.
Ambrus is the runt of Brencis' coven. As the newest addition and the youngest, he develops a fondness for Coen. Whom he'd picked because...well...because he'd thought Coen attractive. Simple as that. He didn't expect to develop feelings for Coen. Nor does his expect Coen to start teasing him.
One night after Blood Mass, they finally get the chance to reconcile unspoken feelings.
