Blake stared at the gloved hand being offered down to her for a moment, hesitating, but as the approaching growls and howls grew louder she threw caution to the wind and grasped it, allowing the blonde woman to pull her up into the saddle of her horse.
“Two questions; are you sure we’re going to be fast enough?” Barely having time to settle in before the blonde gave a snap of the reins, Blake jolted as they began to speed away. “And what the hell is a Grimm????”

Will the two get together and realize they were meant for each other after a sort-of one night stand together following their blind date? Will Yang find new inspiration? Will Blake find to courage to release her work? Questions to be answered in this weird alternate universe fic I have come up with on a whim. Chapters are named after rock songs just because.

“Weiss!” Ruby calls to her, beaming with a grin that reaches her eyes. Silver sparkles, reflecting the porchlights, and Weiss is certain she has never seen anything more beautiful in her entire life. “It’s raining!”
She gives a wry smile, deadpanning as she motions around, “No kidding.”
“Come here, come here, come here!” Ruby darts over to her, standing on the dirt trail while Weiss shelters on the porch. She extends her hand to her and Weiss’s fingers twitch to accept it. Always accept it, and never let her go. “Please?”
“I don’t appreciate getting wet if I don’t have to, Ruby. You enjoy the rain for both of us.”
“But,” Ruby pouts, features dimming the slightest bit, (it sends a spike of panic through her heart), “I want to dance with you.”
Weiss snorts, “You can’t dance.”
“So, teach me!”
“In the rain?”
“In the rain.”
Weiss purses her lips, crossing her arms with a slow sigh. Resigning herself to her fate as she enjoys her last few seconds of being dry until she steps off of the porch and immediately gets bombarded by the cold water. Her nose wrinkles.
“You’re lucky I love you.”
