Summary
Astarion desired revenge, of blood so deep he could wade into it and float across the surface on his back. Rest, relaxation, these things chained together by violence and vengeance. 200 years of pain on his skin would be sloughed from the skin of others and he would stop at nothing until he knew true contentment. In the meantime, he knew the closest thing to rapture through the other man.
Astarion and his favorite musician spend an evening playing hide and seek. It leads to a bath where he receives more blood and banter than he bargained for.

Summary
Astarion hated the man for being the thing that caused his centuries-old mask to crack. How beautiful that face had been, painted and repainted through so many years. He had grown fond of it, of its full lips and half-lidded eyes that always looked for the nearest escape and the nearest bedroom. Astarion hated the dangerous stranger for changing the script, for penning a story more riveting and treacherous than the one he had written for himself.
