“Zhnets,” The general called out. His voice held no room for an argument. Steve felt shivers trail down his spine. And yet, he couldn’t pull his gaze away from Robin – from her bruised and bloody and ruined face. Steve watched as Robin stiffened at the noise, straightening in a way he had never seen before. Her gaze snapped up to the general, poised and ready, while her hands snapped to her side.
Hands that were chainless and free.
And when the general finished speaking, Steve could barely hear it over the sound of Robin’s reply. Russian. Perfect Russian without an ounce of doubt in her tongue, as if she had been speaking it her entire life.

“Adora–” Catra started, her voice carrying throughout the room despite the whisper in her tone. The blonde couldn’t bare to look at her. “Wait, wait– Just– Fuck– Damn, I didn’t know we would have the same..”
Catra’s voice trailed off, as if her words got caught in her throat. Adora paused before she glanced back, hesitant. But not crying. She wouldn’t cry. She wouldn’t show any more signs of weakness. Catra met her eyes. And for a single moment, it was all either of them could see. Not the steel walls. Nor the glistening tears inside of their eyes. But them, each other, just like it had always been. Just like it always will be. Catra and Adora. Adora and Catra. A pair till the end of time and space.
Catra reached down and slowly brought her shirt up.
Adora inhaled sharply at the sight of the girl's mark.
One that was identical to her own.

"Lottie already promised that she'd take care of you on the plane ride back, Shipman." Jackie teased, but her eyes held a small glint that sent chills down Shauna's spine. "Just on the plane ride back though. Once I'm home, you're mine again."
Shauna rolled her eyes, ignoring the sudden burn against her cheeks, hoping Jackie would mistake it for literally anything else. "You're ever awaiting slave."
The 'Like always' buried itself in Shauna's throat, hiding in Jeff's car like the rest of her secrets.
"Oh hush, Shipman." Jackie lips curled into a lazy smile, one that Shauna loved to see. "You know you love taking care of me."
That she did.
Shauna spared a glance at her arm, her smile softening just a bit like it always did for Jackie. Her hand clasped over the heart chained necklace that Jackie had given her. "I'll call you as soon as I get home."
"I'll be waiting." Jackie spoke, softly.
Neither of them knew that those few days would turn into 19 months.

Which is why she is stuck here, staring down the latest villain of the month – of the year – with nothing more than exhaustion and pain riddling her bones. She wanted to go home. She wanted to go to Jackie and hold her close and whisper apologies after apologizes for how they ended up in the end because of Shauna’s secret. Because of Shauna’s stupid savior complex – as Misty likes to call it – that escalated their entire fight in the first place.
Because of Shauna’s constant lies.
She might have slept with him once or twice, but she was never in a secret relationship with Jeff.
But she told Jackie that the two of them were seeing each other behind her back for a year.

In which, Shauna Shipman experiences similar hardships like she would in the cannon verse, but instead of turning into a blood thirsty psycho that we all love and hate, she becomes Shadow Spider with the help of Misty - and gains character development! (Because I need them to actually be friends, or whatever they are in this book, leave me alone).
(Not without some lies and mistakes tho, I never said our girl was SUPPOSED to be apart of the spider verse.. at least, not in the beginning).

"Raven, listen! Listen to me! We can still fix this, just... don't go yet, okay? Let me help you, love. Please, Raven! I love you!" Hermione begged, pleading desperately.
And despite how much she never wanted it to come to this, despite how her own heart beats for Hermione Granger and her alone, she knew what she had to do.
"Then, you're even more pathetic than I thought." Raven forced her voice to remain steady. Emotionless, as she broke two hearts in that moment. "How could you ever believe that I would love a filthy Mudblood like you?"
And with that, Raven walked out of the empty classroom, shutting the door behind her. She stayed frozen there for a moment, listening to the gasping sobs that escaped Hermione's lips from behind the door. The lip that she had been biting had long since drew blood trying to contain her own burning lump in her throat.
"I'm sorry, Darling." Raven whispered under her own breath. "Forgive me."
And as soon as the first tear fell from her own eyes, she walked away from the door, so Hermione wouldn't hear her own sobs escaping her as she walked towards the uncertain future, longing for Hermione's sweet embrace with every step she took.

Shauna freezes. Technically she hasn’t moved since she got into this position, but her muscles tense up like springs, ready at a moment’s notice to fight or flight. She forces herself to calm down because she doesn’t even know who they’re talking about. Is it a horrible thing to say? Yeah, but it’s not surprising. Shauna’s heard the same prejudice from Mr. Taylor’s mouth enough to be a little desensitized to it. Whoever they were bitching about, it’s ultimately none of her business.
“I bet Van only joined soccer to be in the girl’s locker room,” they snickered.
Oh. They were talking about Van. Scratch that—it is Shauna’s business.
