I was honestly surprised you came with.” Lumine turned to him with a grin that rivaled the sun. “A really amazing surprise.”
Cyno had to force himself to breathe. He decided to look away from the blinding, untouchable light, and stare at his feet in the water. “I suppose so. It’s been busy here, too. Thankfully, nothing like what we encountered. I’ve made sure of that. I vow to never let such corruption run rampant here again.”
“That makes me feel better.” Lumine sighed and shook her head. “Things just keep getting more complicated. It’s nice to know that Sumeru is in good hands. Just… Don’t push yourself too hard, alright?”
Cyno smiled. “Alright. I’ll try.”

I don’t want to hear it.” He continues rolling out the pastry dough he was working on before she showed up, mainly to give him something to do because the nerves he’s been trying to suppress are starting to creep up again.
“Aw, your poor mother, having to deal with such an irritable son,” Lumine says.
“If I’m so irritable, why won’t you leave me alone?” he challenges.
She shrugs, looking away. “Habit, I guess."
Scaramouche is the son of a bakery owner, and he has something special for Lumine.

Lumine chuckles, lowly and smooth. Then she saunters closer to him and presses the hilt of her blade into his hand, signaling him to take it. His hold is shaky at best, nothing like the confidence she exudes with every swipe of this same weapon.
“I taught you some things, didn’t I?” Lumine says with a slight tilt of her head.
She did, but he’s still new to it all. Still, remembering what she’s taught him, Kabukimono adjusts his grip and stance, and based on Lumine’s expression, it’s not too bad. Her approval is all he ever wants, and he preens under it.
“I’ll work on sword skills a little more with you,” she murmurs, and encases his hand holding the sword with her own. Gently takes the sword back, and then it disappears at her will.
She'll have to pay for it all.
