Summary
Patrick’s eyes narrow, the smile fixed. Beneath his skin, the itch starts again—fingers twitching, a compulsion gnawing at control. He wants to split Paul open, crack him apart like a lobster shell, let the marrow bleed and stain white tile. A craving deep in his bones. The world thins, sound fading as Patrick drowns in the thought—gore painting porcelain, red creeping like art.
Paul trembles, pupils blown wide, voice hoarse. “You’re fucking insane.”
Patrick smirks. “You’re hard.”

Summary
Paul Allen had a way of speaking that made Patrick Bateman’s skin crawl.
It was the smugness. That casual, oblivious, condescending lilt to his voice, like he could never imagine someone not wanting to listen to him. Like he believed he was interesting. He gestured too much. He laughed too easily. He talked with the confidence of a man who had never once in his life considered the possibility of consequence.
And it was that arrogance, that effortless, unthinking privilege, that made Patrick's fingers itch.

Summary
John can’t stand it anymore. It’s pointless and futile. This thing they’ve been trying so hard to run away from, this thing between them that alludes a name… it’s inevitable. It doesn’t matter that it doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t matter that everything might fall apart. What if, John dares to think, it doesn’t?What if everything was okay? Every time John thought something had been impossible, Paul had proven to him it wasn’t. Writing their own songs? Touring? Hitting the charts in America? Anything was possible with Paul. Paul made everything… better
