Wrong words. Reo can’t help scoffing, suddenly feeling spiteful as memories of his rejection flash in his mind, his pain resurfacing. “Hah! That didn’t stop you from hurting me back in the second selection.”
Nagi flinches, taken aback by Reo’s words. If Reo didn’t know any better, he may have thought he went too far. But then Nagi’s eyes darken, “That has nothing to do with this.”
Reo pulls Nagi’s collar to him until their noses are almost touching. His purple eyes are wide open in a challenge. He wants Nagi to burn, to turn into flames with him. “It has everything to do with this.”

“Hah? What are you talking about?” Reo exclaimed defensively, trying to pull away from the strawberry blond but failing as Shidou snuck his other arm around Reo’s back and tightened his grip, cutting him off.
“Let me finish at least, Little Heir,” Shidou crooned mockingly before quieting down again, “It’s about that player thing Four Eyes mentioned.”
Reo stopped struggling, going limp in Shidou’s arms at his words. “The what?”

“What was that corny shit you said again?” A snarky amused smile appeared on Chigiri’s mouth.
"As long as I can win against Nagi, I don't care about anything else... I will make him say that he needs me." Chigiri repeated in a poor imitation of Reo’s voice with an exaggerated ugly glare on his face.
“Shut up, Chigiri!” Reo cried out in embarrassment as he covered his eyes with his hands.
Suddenly, there was a weight beside Reo’s figure, “Do you hate him?”
After a beat of silence, Reo answered with a somber tone. “Sometimes, I honestly wish I did.”
“You’re adorable.” Chigiri cupped Reo’s cheeks together, forcing the taller boy to look at him.
Chigiri gets up from his bed, and does an exaggerated stretch before turning back to look at Reo. “Well, I can’t help you much on the field, but I do know a thing or two in tactical warfare.”
Reo could only raise his eyebrow in confusion. “Excuse me?”
There was a pleased expression on Chigiri’s face. “I can make Nagi admit that he actually needs you, easily.”

Kaiser stared at his phone screen in disbelief. "What?! The manga ended?! Just like that?! There were so many backstories we never got to! What about Ego? Noa? Sae?? Ness!?”
The following silence all but confirmed the brutal reality. Kaiser’s last glimmer of hope disappeared right there and then, and his expression darkened.
There was no justice for the manga he spent so much time with, no justice for the hidden lore, no justice for any character outside of Isagi’s band of followers, no plot expansion— and especially nothing for Alexis Ness.
Oh, he was so not going to let that happen.
Or: Kaiser's favorite character in Blue Lock is Alexis Ness. When he dies, he wakes up as the scum villain who treats him like trash in the original manga. He immediately sets about trying to correct the horrid behavior— but the System won’t let him!

Just when Ness thought he would be alright without Kaiser, he showed up in his life again. Ness felt a sense of fear, the fear of falling for him once more— And that he might never be completely healed from this sickness.
The fear gripped him, shook him to the core and he wanted to run. He begged his body to run, run away from this man. He fought against the phantom that held him down, he felt as if he were thrashing, gasping for breath. He wanted to fight the desire to forgive Kaiser until he was tired enough to fade away, only to realize the same battle, the same fear. But, no matter how hard he fought, there was this stillness, an unmistakable stillness that would never release him. At least, until now.
Maybe Ness had never even healed at all.
