Kaworu leaned in to kiss Shinji again, but Shinji was screaming. A mix of emotions flooded his chest, yet he remembered that Kaworu loves him before anything else. Kaworu loves him. Disgust took over and he bit down the inside of his cheek, a poor attempt made in hopes of hiding discomfort, tears flowing.
He was supposed to be afraid, but he wasn’t.
