Summary
Alastor’s powers were not the only thing he lost control of when his staff got broken by Adam. With Alastor’s return to the newly rebuilt hotel his unruly shadow is making his life increasingly difficult, and worse, completely ruining his reputation. The thing had no sense of self respect, happily cuddling up to Alastor’s most hated enemies just to annoy him, knowing Alastor could feel every touch through their connection. And to make matters worse the shadow, still plagued with nostalgic feelings for Alastor’s once friend now enemy, has taken it upon itself to play match maker. If Rosie didn’t fix his staff for him soon, Alastor was surely going to lose it.

Summary
About a month after Vox's failed takeover of Heaven, Baxter drags in his dismembered body through the hotel lounge. The sight leaves Alastor to wonder what has become of Vox, so he gets an idea and decides to pay him a visit. The two strike a deal, and now Vox has his body back, but he is stuck at the hotel, and Alastor gets to bask in his humiliation. Vox slowly realises something is going on behind the front. Alastor puts on, and what was once an unrequited love on Vox's end might not be so unrequited anymore.

Vox regrets making a deal with Alastor at first, and somehow, things start looking up for the two of them.

Summary
Vox had done it. He had captured Alastor and now held him prisoner. However, it seems even in this situation, the Radio Demon still runs his mouth to taunt. However, one comment about the past had Vox act impulsively and try to hypnotize Alastor. It should have failed, but it didn't. And Vox would use this to his advantage.
