Years of respectively leading the now-disbanded shishigumi and training under the market's lone physician have served them both well. Now working together the two partners operate with the guidance of the sublime Beastar to keep the peace, until one particular case hits too close to home, and Louis decides he's had enough of his precious wolf drowning in the dark.

What if Kyuu's fasting really did make Legosi hungry? How would he have approached Haru or face the turf war? And how would he confront Melon too? All of that is answered in this "what if" I made after the original story took a route opposite of what I imagined was going to happen when Paru introduced another plot twist. This will somewhat be in line with the manga but the changes will lead to a different ending. (I also can't think of a better summary)
