艾达开始用自己的方法治疗他，而他也全力去配合，尽管有时痛到颤抖，他也只是朝艾达微笑。艾达带来了痛，也带来了清醒。他想像个正常人一样，他不想让别人觉得艾达的爱人是个疯子。治疗一开始是很有成效的，但近期，他开始整晚整晚地做噩梦，那些狗跑进他的梦里，用血红的眼睛瞪着他，涎水滴到地上，散发着恶臭……艾达不得不在夜晚把他束缚起来，以免他剧烈的动作伤到自己。
“今天我们做什么，艾达？”
“今天是高潮控制，”艾达的声音一贯的温柔，“埃米尔需要先去洗干净。”她的气息拂过埃米尔的脖颈，痒。
