Summary
Aang says Sokka's depressed, Dad says he's just seventeen and it'll pass.
The thing is, he's not sure if he wants it to pass. There's a sort of sick comfort in the melancholy. Comfort in knowing that when he's still in bed by dinnertime and hasn't washed himself in nearly a week, he's at rock bottom. And you can't sink any lower than that.
Well, he could always stay here. Never leave, and never do anything worthwhile. Wouldn't that be something? A man who peaked at fifteen.
OR
Sokka struggles with being back home after the war. Everything has changed, and yet he's still stuck right back where he started.

Summary
“Mornin'" Sokka greets him with a grin. Same grin as always. The one that’s only reserved for Zuko, according to all of their friends.
Zuko punches him in the arm lightly. "Not morning until you go to sleep and wake up." It's one of the nonsense arguments they've had going on for about a decade now.
They both laugh and Sokka pulls him in for a hug. They stand on the street hugging for almost a minute, not that Zuko is counting or anything. They haven't seen each other since New years, six months ago. That was the last time they were both home at the same time. It feels like it’s been a lot longer than that.
Or, Sokka and Zuko go swimming. The beach, as it tends to do, does help them understand both themselves and each other.

”Dude, we should go ice skating tomorrow!” Sokka says on a random Friday night in February. ”The temperature should be perfect, and it also shouldn’t snow until next week.”
”I’m afraid it won’t be all that fun. In case you forgot, I’ve never skated before.” Zuko replies as he looks up from his phone.
Sokka’s face lights up. ”That’s exactly what makes it fun! I can teach you how!”

Zuko has a crush on Sokka. Sokka teaches Zuko how to ice skate. They both fall, literally and figuratively.

"Come pick me up, let’s go to the store,” is the first thing Toph says when Zuko picks up the phone.
“Have you noticed that it’s one in the morning?” Zuko inquires.
“Yes, and I happen to know for a fact that your bedtime has been five a.m. for the past month.” She states, matter of factly.
And well, she’s not wrong about that. Zuko sighs. "Alright, I’ll pick you up in fifteen minutes.”

”Uh, Dad. Katara. Can I tell you guys something?” Sokka asks during dinner one evening. He’s not sure why he’s so incredibly nervous all of a sudden, but something about the two of them sitting on the opposite side of the table makes Sokka feel like he’s at a job interview.
”Of course.”
”Ooh, are you coming out as straight this time?”
”Katara, please let your brother speak.” Hakoda sighs, poorly masking his amusement. Almost a decade ago now, Sokka had in fact come out of the closet by starting a conversation with the exact same wording. It ’s kind of funny. Or well, it would be if he wasn’t so nervous.
”So, you know Zuko, right?”

They’re still idols, they’re still kissing and they’re still playing Minecraft. But they’re actually dating this time.

Can probably be read as stand-alone as long as you know that they are in a k-pop group(/boyband). You can literally imagine them in like One Direction, no k-pop knowledge is needed!

Summary
Okay. Sokka is definitely zoning out in the middle of a business meeting. Sue him. It’s not that he doesn’t care about the upcoming anniversary livestream they are currently planning per se, but more like there are only so many ways you can go over repeated questions such as ”what color should the balloons be?” and ”at what point should the candles be lit?” before you stop paying attention.
OR
Sokka and Zuko make music, kiss, fake-date, and play minecraft, not necessarily in that order. All while being famous idols.
(08/26 edit: Rewritten to fix grammar and tenses, and to add entirely too many commas to hopefully make dialogue flow a little better)
