Summary
The first time Kakashi killed someone, he was 5 years old.
His strike was smooth and confident, and the enemy nin was soon nothing more than a cooling corpse, unworthy of his attention any longer. Though it was his first kill, it was not the first time Kakashi had seen someone die, and a corpse was nothing special in wartime. His target was dead, and Kakashi moved on, forging himself into one of the best weapons Konoha had at her disposal.
The first time Hitoshi kills someone, he is 7 years old.
It’s somewhat anticlimactic, if he’s being honest.

“So,” Nedzu says pleasantly, “you’re Shinsou Hitoshi?”
“That’s ridiculous,” Aizawa states. He crosses his arms across his chest, eyeing Hitoshi through his hair with an unreadable expression. “They don’t even look alike.”
Hitoshi fidgets uncomfortably in the seat across from Nedzu’s desk. What is he supposed to say? Nothing’s made any sense since last night. Everything’s changed around him, and now there’s a boy claiming to be him – who everyone seems to believe is the real Hitoshi – sitting on Aizawa’s other side.
But… he barely even resembles Hitoshi. His hair is silvery-white instead of purple. His right eye is violet like Hitoshi’s, but the left eye is red instead with an odd dotted pattern in it.

But he also quite literally has a nation of his own to run, and it's not like he has any intention of dragging this out any longer than it has to. If all goes well, all Eri will remember is a night spent camping and playing with a dog. Easy, painless and trauma-free."
All does not go well, Shouta’s the one who has a miserable experience, and Eri remembers much more than a night spent camping and playing with a dog.

After a yakuza quirk accidentally summons Kakashi to BNHA just in time for him to save Eri during the Shie Hassaikai raid, Shouta has to deal with watching the shinobi until they can find a way to send him back.

Summary
Hatake Kakashi has not always had the most peaceful of minds. His childhood and the time that he spent in ANBU have left their marks on him, deep and painful mental scars. For most of his life, Kakashi believed that those scars would never stop hurting. He’d quietly accepted that his past would haunt him forever.
But then he was put in charge of Team Seven, and things slowly started to change. Slowly but surely, Kakashi’s time in Team Seven makes the darkness in his mind a little lighter. Some days, he forgets that the darkness was ever there at all.
Other days, though, that darkness rears its ugly head again. And on those kinds of days, the other members of Team Seven take it upon themselves to help their sensei out.
With their help, the darkness never sticks around for long.
Or: One of Kakashi’s solo missions makes some nasty memories resurface, and Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke try to make his day a little less crappy. And in classic Team Seven fashion, their methods of cheering him up are, well, unorthodox to say the least.

Summary
Light streams into Kakashi’s darkened apartment through his half-open curtains, and when the sun finally moves into a position that it somehow manages to directly penetrate his eyelids, Kakashi groans, pulling his comforter up and over his head rather than taking it as a sign that he needs to get up.
And he does need to get up. He’s probably running late, he needs to stop by the Hokage’s office and speak to Minato-sensei. The Yondaime said he had an assignment for him and Kakashi didn’t want sensei to hand it over to someone else. He wanted sensei to continue to trust him with special missions and assignments, but he can’t do that if he’s late.
So in spite of the dull throbbing above his right eye, pulsing in-time with his heartbeat, Kakashi forces himself to sit up. Forces himself to get out of bed. Before he gets dressed, he shuts the curtains, shutting out the painful sunlight. Kakashi rubs at his temple and prays his budding headache clears up soon.
