Summary
Based on a tumblr post I've seen, and seeing as tomorrow is the series finale, it just made sense:
"I've always had this idea that in the series finale of teen wolf, we will hear doctors talking, and then when the screen comes into view, we see a folder with the full first name and middle/last name of Stiles Stilinski.
And then we find out that these entire past 5 seasons, Stiles has been in a mental institution, imagining the supernatural creatures and events to help himself cope with the fact that his best friend, Scott McCall, was mauled and killed by a mountain lion in the sophomore year of high school."
