Summary
Spending six weeks in Reno, Nevada to establish residency is the fastest way for Professor Eve Polastri to obtain a divorce in 1959. Unused to much more than her books, her students, and her studies, Eve is facing a whole new way of life when she decides to stay at a ranch rather than a hotel- at least there are activities and other people there.
The ranch offers the novelties of wide open spaces, cattle, and horse-riding lessons taught by the first woman that Eve has ever seen wear a cowboy hat.
