Summary:
Stede is a recently divorced single dad who has moved to a rural/suburban town to get a fresh start along with his son Cal (17). He takes an English teaching position at Brandywine High School and as a lover of the arts, is immediately roped into the lackluster theater club. He wants to prove that he can make something of himself, and do something new to help others! He is adequate!
Ed was once a star high school and college football star. He even made it to the NFL…bench. He finally found what he was best at when he started coaching high school football and now holds the record for most state titles won. He’s gotten so good that he just goes through the motions and wins…will he ever do something exciting with his life again?
Cal also wants a fresh start. After coming out as a trans man at his last school, he faced a surprising amount of bullying and is only left with his best friend Evie (pronounced Ev-ie). He hates to leave her but is hoping a new school will be a better fit and more peaceful.
