Chapter Text
As Leo opens his eyes, all he can notice is that he is somewhere he doesn’t recognize. “What the hell? Where am I?” he thinks. He sits up observing his surroundings and sees a couch that can hold 4 people, and in front of that couch a bunch of blankets and pillows set up for more people (well turtles in this case) to sit at. Next he sees a big TV screen with a remote next to it with just the pause/play button in the center. “That’s a weird remote, only one button?” thinks Leo.
Then of course, saving the best for last to see in the room, his 3 other brothers, April, Splinter, and a weird boy with a mask that has his red markings across the eyes all unconscious in the same room, with no exit by the way. “Who’s the kid?” wonders by none other than Leo. “Doesn’ t matter, I need to wake up my brothers and find out where we are.”
Leo then stands up and walks over to the closest brother, which happens to be his twin. “Wakey wakey” he said, shaking Donnie. As Donnie began to stir he noticed he wasn’t in his lab or infact any sewer related room. “Where did you teleport us now Leo, I didn’t sign up for a surprise family vacation he said unimpressed.”
Leo of course took offense to that, “Well dear hermano of mine, It wasn’t my fault this time, I don’t even have my ōdachi” Leo said with both his hands up in a surrendering manner. Then tilting his head to the other two brothers he said “Help me wake the others up.”
As Leo went to Raph and Donnie went to Mikey they heard someone groan and a “Blue, what did you do now.” and both brothers turn to see that their Dad and April are starting to wake up on their own.
“Oh good, you guys are up. And why is everyone blaming me for this, I didn’t do it”, “This time” added Donnie at the end of Leo's sentence which Leo repeated with a “This time” while nodding and pointing at Donnie.
“Maybe because we are in an unfamiliar place and you’re the one with the teleporting powers” said April. Leo responded with “Alright fair enough, but I swear it wasn’t me this time. I just woke up here like you guys”.
“Um guys, what’s going on, where are we?” they all hear coming from the now full conscious Mikey and somewhat full conscious Raph right next to him. “Great! Everyones up, now we can figure out what's going on” said Leo while Donnie helped Raph stand up.
“Not everyone” said April pointing to the still unconscious kid with a mask. “Who is that?” said Raph while going to stand in front of his brothers, like the guy would just randomly get up and attack them. “Did he somehow bring us here? Does he also have mystical powers” spoke Mikey with stars in his eyes.
“Don’t know, he was like this when I woke up. Lets wake him up and find out who he is” Leo decided and started walking towards the kid. Raph tried to reach out and grab Leo, “Wait! What if he’s dangerous, lets-” but he didn’t get to finish since Leo had already started shaking the poor kid. “Heyyyy, wanna wake up random kid, wanna tell us what happened, did you bring us here, do you have mystic powers, also why does your mask look like me?” was asking Leo but stopped when he noticed the kid was starting to wake up.
When the mask kid woke up basically all he saw was blue, well a blue eye mask, in front of him. “Master Leonardo?” he said while trying to wake up. “Um what?” said Leo with wide eyes and everyone else staring confused.
“Are you sure you don’t recognize him, cause he seems to recognize you” said Donnie still trying to figure out what is going on.
“I swear I have never met him before in my life, why would I lie about this?” said Leo trying to get his family to believe him. Fortunately, the kid is now fully up and can see that this was Master Leonard but not his Master Leonardo and was really confused.
“Wait wait wait wait” said mystery boy shaking his head with his hands up “why do you look so much younger, why do you all look so much younger and- omg am I somehow in the past?” he asked with wide eyes and mouth gaped open.
“So you’re saying that you know us but from the future?” said Mikey. Then the only reasonable thing to do in their case was of course start laughing.
“That is ridiculous, if time travel was true then my future self would have already come back to tell me the winning lotto numbers” said Donnie once his laughing subsided.
Before the kid could say anything else after that with the unease starting to form on his face, Raph interrupted him, “If you really are from the future then you must have some kind of proof” and Leo interrupted with “And a name because I cannot keep calling you random kid in my head”.
“Um well for one my name is Casey Jones and for proof wise..” said Casey trying to think of something to prove his “story”, “I have this” he pointed to his wrist that laid a piece of equipment.
As they tried to look and what it was Donnie spoke out, “That's trademarked! Why and how do you have that?”.
“Because I’m not lying, I'm from the future and I have no idea how I got here but obviously there is a reason because I am!”
“Ya Im still confused about that, how are we all here in a random room with nothing, not even a note on how we got here” said April. “Oh look a note” said Mikey while picking up a piece of paper from the couch. “I stand corrected”.
“How did I not see that, that was probably just put there” said Leo. Raph then had to ask “Leo, How would the note just have appeared there, notes don’t do that”. Leo defended himself with “I don’t know, maybe the same way we were brought here! Mikey just read what the note says.”
Mikey then starts to read
“Hello turtles, Splinter, Casey, and April.
I have no intentions of hurting you, I simply just want you to watch what the future holds in a couple of days. I guess I should give some context on why you will watch such events. Well to start off with, yes Casey is from the future and I brought him here because he is a major part of this event. Secondly, and the main reason you are watching the future, is because something big is coming up soon, something called the Krang and they should not be taken lightly, they are dangerous. I want to help, to show you what will happen in hopes that you can fix it.

“The Krang?” demanded Splinter with wide eyes, “You know them Dad?” asked Leo with a worried voice. “I have only heard the name, they are powerful creators, worshiped by the foot clan, legend says they came from the stars, ruthless with only one desire, to elsalve our world but a key was made to lock them in the prison dimension and the key remained hidden” told Splinter.
“So I’m gonna guess it's not good and they need to stay locked away” tried Leo with a worried smile. “How can you try to make jokes right now?” asked Raph Leo responded with “I’m sorry, It’s how I cope”. Donnie then started to say “So if this Krang event is soon then that means the key was found and the Krang escaped their prison?”.
“Wait, what about future boy here?” April asked the group then turned directly to Casey, “Do the Krang escape and enslave the world” she asked really hoping the boy said no, but sadly all she got was his head slightly shaking yes while looking at them. “It was horrible, we were hunted and had to live off leaves and rats, no offense” Casey said to Splinter, “None taken, we are very delicious” he replied.
Casey spoke up again “But how am I involved in this, I’m already living in it?”. “Why don’t we start watching then, we can find out our answers and see what will happen” said Leo looking around, to which they all started nodding.
“I call the couch!” yelled Donnie, making sure he was the first one there to succeed in getting a spot and so Leo wouldn’t try to take it. While the others made their way to sit down Casey couldn’t help but stay back for a sec and look at what was in front of him, I mean he was seeing Master Donatello and Raphael again along with a young Master Leonardo, Michelangelo and Commander O’Neil.
“Hey, you coming?” said Leo from his spot on the floor when he noticed Casey not immediately following. “Ya, sorry Master Leonardo” he replied, making his way to the couch and sitting next to Leo on the floor. “Call me Leo, it still feels weird with you calling me that”. “Ya sure thing, sorry Leonardo” said Caey trying. ‘Close enough, baby steps’ thought Leo while giving Casey a generous smile to help Casey feel more welcomed.
Mikey quickly got up to grab the remote and sat back down, “Are we ready?” asked Leo to everyone before they began. They all nod with determined faces, they are gonna find out what happened and prevent it, no matter what's shown to them. Leo then nods to Mikey and he hits the play button, time to find out their future. I hope they're prepared for what will come to be shown.
