Lines said by the characters at the start and end of a full match in a game where one character fights another for a series of one or more rounds.
What we have here are ideas for quotes from all possible matches between four characters.
Harrowhark Nonagesimus
Harrow from “Gideon the Ninth” mainly. I see her as a trap and puppet fighter. Probably way too powerful and gets nerfed at the first opportunity. Very slow walking speed, has a small hop back and forward for both directions instead of any kind of dash. But she can place dangerous traps that can hide in the stage and can pull out some big swings either herself or with a summon. For example: I imagine her playing like the Testament from Guilty Gear XX.
Gideon Nav
Gideon with her two handed sword like in “Gideon the Ninth”. Solid rushdown character only hampered by her lack of any projectiles. Very fast forward dash and good damage potential in the corner. We don’t see it in the books but it would be fun for Gideon to have great wallbounce combos.
Obviously you would think that a Samurai Shodown character would be best and Haohmaru would be a good idea but I think Ky Kiske would also be a fantastic example of how Gideon should play but clearly it would not work 100% as Ky does have a clear projectile element to his kit that is very important. So it would probably be great to add big impressive sword attacks you might find from BlazBlue’s Hakumen. But balancing such fast fun moves with Gideon’s cannon mobility would be a pain.
Harrowhark the First
Harrow as we see her in “Harrow the Ninth '' now a lyctor and carrying around Gideon’s sword. I actually see her as a big heavy tank character. Someone who it is difficult to smash backward or wall bounce but also then has low mobility options and a small jump. Being able to soak up a lot of damage is quite a grizzly link to what happens to her in the book but I think it fits. She should have some cool ways to hinder or hold her opponents so that she can hit them with her longsword.
Perhaps something similar to Nrvnqsr Chaos in that she is a tank character with a good excuse to change her exact hit box and she also can dish out heavy hits both herself and with delayable projectiles.
Kiriona Geia
You might think that with her cannon invincibility we should make Kiriona a slow tank too but she's still shown to be super fast. As she uses a rapier and knuckle knives I would say this is a great opportunity to lean in and make her a fast rushdown character with even more mobility than Gideon but with a much shorter range due to her swords. Has a lot of health and is very mobile but doesn’t do a lot of damage on each hit and has a short range. Like Nanaya from Melty Blood or Akihiko from Persona Arena.
