The keys to my heart

Summary:

Scratch the thought of Kaveh not being annoying. He was a nuisance.

"Also that was the last of my mora since gold keys, even fake ones, are quite expensive. Sooo I think I'll pass on rent for this month til I get some more work done."

What. No, stay calm Alhaitham. Do not punch your senior. Guess he'd have to deal with rent alone for another month.

Or how keys help in the journey that is Kaveh and Alhaitham's complicated relationship (sort of) + me throwing every trope onto these poor boys

Chapter Text

Where the fuck were his keys. Did Kaveh take it? He was about to get Kaveh a copy of the house key so they wouldn't have to share but now it was gone.

I remember telling him not to take it and that I would give him a key soon. He wouldn't take it right? Guess he should start searching. It was unusual for him to lose something. Especially something important like a key.

————–———————————————–

As Alhaitham was about to give up searching and just go out without leaving the door open, a certain someone appeared. "Ah, Kaveh have you seen my keys?" he asked, perking up upon the other's entrance. Wait, did Kaveh go out without him, therefore with no key, so how did he unlock the door since it auto locks?

A jingling noise brought him out of his thoughts as he looked back at Kaveh who was- Wait. Was that his house key?! And a gold one? "I took your key to get myself a copy of the house key," Kaveh explained nonchalantly.

"What. Kaveh I specifically told you that I would get a copy made for you soon," Alhaitham stated, barely hiding his annoyance behind gritted teeth. He needed to stay calm with his new roommate. He still had hoped that Kaveh wasn't going to be annoying due to the joint project incident. After all, they were friends.

"Yeah, I knew you were going to make it boring silver like yours so I thought why not spice it up a bit with gold. Besides, you had this morning off so I thought I'd run an errand for you," he stated innocently, pretending to be unaware he made the key out of GOLD.

Scratch the thought of Kaveh not being annoying. He was a nuisance.
