Summary
Ed had met Mary when they were both freshman in college. Well Ed wasn't exactly enrolled, but Mary would always prop the window open so Ed could listen to the lectures about painting. He had never even thought about marriage before Mary had told him about her upcoming nuptials, since then it had been on his mind a lot. But the consideration of finding someone he would want to marry all changed when he met Stede.
He locked eyes with the most well-dressed man he had ever seen in his life, and he was walking straight towards Ed. His heart stammered at the small smile he received from the blonde and he nearly passed out when he came to the bar next to Ed. Ed couldn't even think of anything to say before he felt a hand on his shoulder, matching the one he saw land on his newfound crush. They both turn to see Mary forcing a smile. "Ah good Ed you finally got to meet my husband, Stede. Stede, this is Ed, the friend from art school I was telling you about."
Thus began the most heart aching 15 years of Ed’s life.
