Summary
Draco Malfoy lived a charmed life before the war even with all the strict rules and customs his father set for him. His fall from the only life he’d ever known began when he took the Dark Mark. By the end of the war Draco lost everything; his mother, his name, and his freedom. After spending a year in Azkaban, Draco returns to Hogwarts to finish out his eighth year as mandated by the Wizengamot and he is far from the same person he was before the war. As he navigates his eighth year and struggles to recover from the horrors he’s survived, Draco finds that he isn’t the only one tormented by the past. When Hermione Granger strikes up a strange friendship with him, together they embark on a journey to find peace in a world that in some ways feels like they no longer belong in. Along the way, Draco finds new friends, family, and love in the most unexpected of places.
