Just some generalized notes on the functions of Alphas, Beta’s and Omegas.
BONDING:
- More mental/emotional. You can be bonded and not marked.
- More for mental health than for anything else.
- Being bonded helps with internal control, and helps make Alpha ruts less aggressive.
- Alphas, betas and omegas can be bonded
- BONDING DEATH is experienced by the death of a long-term bonded partner. Usually experiencing bonding death will result in the inability to bond. Lengths differ person to person, some experience it for the rest of their life, some only for a few weeks.
MARKED:
- Physical, literally. Teeth to the scent gland in the neck.
- Lasts a year, must be reapplied.
- ONLY alphas and omegas can be marked. Betas can mark, but can not BE marked. Uncommon for beta’s TO mark due to the inability to have it reciprocated.
- Helps with the physical effects of heat. Helps lessen sexual desire and can provide a comfort to lessen the pain felt during a heat.
- Helps with ruts, can provide comfort to lessen the urge to mate and/or destroy
- Marks break easier than bonds, but do last a whole year.
- Physically symbolic, they let people know you’re taken.
- CAN FADE AND IT IS PAINFUL WHEN THEY DO. Causes sense of severe abandonment. Feels like fire under the skin as the mark heals.
- It’s considered taboo to let ur bonded partners mark fade, considered to abusive behaviour if done deliberately
HEATS:
- Can be sexual and non-sexual
- Those who do NOT experience sexual attraction will only experience a non-sexual heat
- Sexual heats involve the need to breed/reproduce.
- Non-sexual heats negate that, and cause an intense desire for physical affection/attention.
- Heats make omega’s extremely fertile
- Omegas tend to be more considerate towards children, often tending to them while in pre/post heat.
- Can last from 2 days to 7days. Longest recorded heat is 10 days.
- Cause intense stomach cramps when needs are not met.
- Omegas can produce slick in order to bypass foreplay during a heat
- Pre-heat, heat and post-heat cause omega’s to smell sweet
- Can be delayed due to stress, if the stress builds high enough in the system
- Pre/post heat usually causes omega’s to be very affectionate.
RUTS:
- Can be sexual and non-sexual
- Those who do NOT experience sexual attraction will only experience non-sexual ruts
- Causes the need to breed/reproduce
- Causes knots to be formed at base of penis, knots remain active during entire rut. (Sexual)
- Non-sexual ruts push aggression forward, the need to breed manifesting as a need to destroy as well
- Alphas are often called destructive due to things that commonly happen during a rut
- Will often be EXTREMELY protective over Omegas. This has previously manifested violently, but most tend to know enough to tone themselves down
General: ALPHA
- Viewed mostly as protectors. Most likely to be in high risk jobs, jobs that involve protection. Military is most common, followed by police, firemen, doctors and EMTs.
- Obv not their ONLY jobs lol
- Can be bonded with and marked.
- Marks are less sensitive than Omega’s.
- Have ruts only
MALE alphas:
- Only penis, tend to be larger than beta males.
- Knot at base of penis
- Can not get pregnant. Can GET people pregnant
FEMALE alphas:
- Have breast tissue, usually smaller than beta females.
- Have both a vagina and a penis. Penis is large, and Vagina’s tend to be tighter, harder to use during sex without proper prep.
- Knot at base of penis
- Reproductive organs are inside.
- Can get pregnant, are considered less fertile. Can GET people pregnant.
BETAS:
- Viewed as middle-people. Most common dynamic in the world (and out of lol)
- CAN be bonded but can NOT be marked
- Do not have ruts or heats
- Are considered the best dynamic to go to for unmarked people to spend a heat/rut with
MALE and FEMALE beta’s are just like people of our own world.
OMEGAS:
- Viewed as more maternal/paternal. Most common jobs are teachers, tutors, caregivers.
- Can be bonded and marked
- Marks are more sensitive than Alphas
- Experience heats
MALE omegas:
- Penis and vagina
- Penis is smaller than the average beta.
- Reproductive parts are inside
- Can get pregnant. Can get someone pregnant
- Chances of successful pregnancy by male omegas are very small
- Grow heavier breast tissue during pregnancy
- It’s common for male omegas to have a small amount of breast tissue regardless of pregnancy
FEMALE omegas:
- Vagina only
- Reproductive parts inside (obv)
- Can get pregnant. Can not get others pregnant
- Tend to have larger breasts, but is common to see small/average breasts on fem omegas.
SUPPRESSANTS
- Can be taken by alpha’s and Omegas
- SUPPRESSES a heat/rut. Does not cancel it entirely, but makes it lesser than usual
- Can be taken long term, is NOT recommended due to health complications
- Usually recommended for those who experience strong heats/ruts
BLOCKERS
- Can be worn by alphas betas and omegas.
- Scent patches, usually worn on the neck due to the stronger scent glands being there, but can be worn on the wrists.
- Blocks the scent that each dynamic usually puts out. Personalized scents are blocked.
- Not recommended for prolonged use due to health complications.
