“Please, let me go,” Jason said, trying to keep himself from crying. No one liked listening to a whiny little brat. His arms, which were strung up above him, ached. “Please. I won’t tell the police anything. I didn’t even see your faces. Please. I wanna go home.”
He had been grabbed by two big alphas on his way out of Gotham Academy. Alfred usually parked closer to the school, but there was construction going on, so he had to park down the street.
A five minute walk. That was all it took for someone to grab him.
Jason wanted to fight back, but he couldn’t risk people seeing him fight and making the connection to Robin. He had to let them take him. He thought it would be okay; rich people got kidnapped all the time. Hell, Bruce had been kidnapped like four times since Jason started living with him.
Bruce was an alpha, though, so he’d never really been in danger.
Jason, though…
His first heat was close. If these strange alphas found a way to trigger it - if they worked out that Jason was about to present omega - they’d never let him go. Not when they had him right in their clutches. Bruce would never find him, unless he was identifying his body in the morgue.
They’d probably get more money for Bruce Wayne’s pup, too.
Wasn’t that a fucked up thought?
“God, these rich brats don’t half whimper and whine,” one of the alphas scoffed. “Shut it, pup.”
“My alpha will come and get me,” Jason said firmly.
The other alpha rolled his eyes. “No one’s coming for you, kid. That idiot alpha of yours is never gonna find this place.”
“The sooner we get the money, the sooner we let you go,” the first alpha said. “Better hope your alpha likes you, pup.”
Jason sniffed again. “He does…”
“Shut up.”
Jason shut up.
A couple of hours later, Jason felt something that made his heart sink. His stomach was cramping. It was enough to make him feel sick. His scent started to go sour.
“Jesus, what’s wrong with the pup?” one of the alphas said.
The other took a sniff, his nose right in the crook between Jason’s neck and shoulder. “Smells sweet…”
“Think he’s presenting?”
“Maybe…” The alpha grabbed Jason’s chin. “Kid, you an omega?”
Jason felt a couple of tears go down his cheeks. “Y-Yeah.”
The first alpha laughed. “Wayne better pay the ransom soon, then, or we might just have to take a bite outta you.”
They both laughed, like it was the funniest thing ever.
Jason threw up on their shoes.
He got a punch to the gut for his troubles.
It had been… so long. Time stopped meaning anything a while ago. Jason’s arms ached all the way down to his shoulders and he’d lost all sensation in his hands hours ago. His school trousers were soaked all the way through with blood and slick, and he’d been crying off and on for hours.
His captors had gone from curious to leering to bored pretty quick. Jason knew, logically, that they wouldn’t really hurt him - not if they wanted that ransom - but that didn’t stop the lingering anxiety.
Most of all, he really wanted his pack.
Fading in out of consciousness, Jason hardly registered the arrival of Batman until he was wrapped up carefully in his cape. Finally safe, Jason broke down.
His dad had come to get him.
