Summary:

***PODFIC***
Tim is five years old when he drowns in his parents' pool. He dies quietly, waiting for parents who love him, but will never be there, to realise that something is wrong. They never show up, and he sinks into oblivion.

When he wakes up and claws his way out of the water, the sun has set, and the lights of his house are on. He is cold and wet and his lungs burn.

But most of all, Tim is alone.

thank you so much liverobinreaction(bugbee) for your blanket permission on this story, i really really hope i did it justice (especially since i messed with the music choices a lot—this is my first big editing project and i went a little too fun with it potentionallllly. so down to tell u all my choices for song picks! but i was so inspired by the idea of violin music during his deaths that i had to give it a shot)
and thank you to my best friend kik who helped me pick out the music for this fic (the ones not mentioned by bugbee!) we overthought every single choice here for so long and it was very fun—thanks for putting up with me, love u <3
because ik that music in the background isn't everyone's cup of tea, i am providing both an edited and unedited version of this fic. I recorded this story like, a while back tbh (overthinking editing choices takes a while!) so my helmet/comms wasn't up yet so that's only in the one with music. but yeah, linking both versions just in case the music one is a little overstimulating!
okay im rambling too long, but i hope you all enjoy! i will have the second chapter out as soon as i edit it lol

hi hi hi!!! i wasn't expecting to finish editing this so soon but
i had like a moment of divine inspiration where i remembered the orpheus ballet??? and i was like omg. red robin's bringing bruce back from the dead-sorry time stream- quest is so orpheus coded?? ra's is obviously hades/the furies?? and like, the broken deal being him blowing up the bases?? being torn apart and lifted to heaven at the end of the ballet just being tim,, er. dying? again.
anyway.
i got really really into it and came out the other side with this! i hope you enjoy! like last time, i am also posting a version without the music becuase ik it can be disracting if you're not into it :)

hi! im alive! sorry for this chapter took so long to post, it was mixture of life kicking my ass and overthinking my editing too much. i finally just decided i wasn't going to pick out the *perfect* song choices or do it perfectly or whatever, and if i kept waiting for the perfect idea than i was never gonna edit it. so! here is chapter 3! i like it and it's glitter-approved so i feel confident that its enjoyable at least! lol
i will try and have the next chapter out in less time than this one took, but i graduate early may so my time to edit is a little limited. actually recording podfics r easy cuz it's an anxiety grounding thing, but editing it is a little less like anxiey-tool and a little more passion project so it might take a bit.
