Work Text:
Scar is a vex hybrid, and Vex eat people. Usually Scar can ignore the need to feed during the life games, but he found out when he turns red, the need becomes to strong to ignore.
In 3rd life Grian let Scar eat some fingers off his non-dominant hand after finding out.
The avian felt guilty for being the reason Scar was like this.
In last life, Joel let him have a small bite of his left arm.

It’s Double life and Scar’s red along with his soulmate.
His stomach aches with hunger.
The vex hybrid has a habit of chewing on his fingers, tasting the blood that spills onto his tongue when his stomach feels like it’s eating itself.
Normally, nobody would be able to tell because Scar would hide his hands.
That is except if one person on the sever shears injuries with you and you also coincidentally hurting him as you hurt yourself.
“Scar,” Grian says, looking at the vex hybrid.
The vex hybrid looks up from where he’s sitting on the ground with dull, hungry, red eyes.
“Have you been chewing on your hands?” the avian asks him.
“No.” Scar lies, looking away.
Grian holds up his left hand, showing off puncture sounds, scabbed over, still red from being chewed on, “Scar.”
Scar bites his lip before stopping, Grain will be able to feel that too.
“I have…” Scar admits.
“Are you hungry?” Grian asks, “Like in 3rd life?”
Scar slowly nods, not meeting Grian’s eyes, his own cheeks dusted a light pink.
“Do you want to eat my fingers?” Gria asks, “Like in 3rd life?”
Scar wants to say no but he is just too hungry, “Yes please.”
Grian sits down on the ground next to him, presenting his left hand for the vex, “Take as much as you need Scar.”
Scar’s stomach growls so he brings the avian’s hand to his mouth, this time biting off the last 3 fingers off Grian’s hand.
The vex feels the avian’s pain as he gaps from it.
Scar chews, tears in the corners of his eyes, he hates himself.
He finds bandages and helps bandage up grian’s hand, mentally promising himself that he will never (no matter how hungry he is) eat from Grian ever again, he’s not putting the avian through that again.
