Summary
So Scar has been selected for the starring role in a death game! That’s fine, it is perfectly expected and fine. Someone had to notice his charisma and star power (SCARRRR POWER) sooner or later.
Also, Scar grew up High Vex, which meant that “battle royale vs your friends and family, loser gets hunted for sport” was pretty much just another Tuesday for him. True, he’d never been much good at that part of the High Vex lifestyle, to the point that his family had been preparing to sell his Name to an Evoker before Cub helped him skip town—but! The point is! He has experience.
(or: the Third Life AU where Scar knows a little more than he should, and Grian's life is so terrible that the death game is kind of healing, actually.)

Summary
The vex hybrid chews on his lip, sucking all the blood he can from it, chewing his lip raw.
He’s blind to the stinging pain, all he can feel is hunger.
Tears spill down his cheeks as his hand flies up to his mouth.
He’s so hungry.
He bites down on the fingers of his left hand, slicing clean through flesh and bones.
He screeches, the pain finally registering.
Scar falls down to his knees, sobbing, chewing his hand down to a nub, hunger and pain the only things he can register.
Eventually, the hunger pains recede, and he stands on shaky legs.
He goes, bandages up his hand, leaving the base to go hunt down some other lifers.

He knows they are circling him even as he runs.
The voidwalker needs to get to safety.
Xisuma hides himself behind a huge tree, he tries to make himself as small as possible, trying to hide.
The voidwalker stands there for a bit, the only sound being his rapid breathing through the ventilator of his helmet.
A thought crosses his mind, ‘maybe I lost them’.
Except, he was wrong.

It’s the night after session 5 of Last life.
Scar and Joel lay in Scar’s bed, atop magical mountain, inside Scar’s house, currently built of dirt.
They both are exhausted from the session, glad they have 2 days off before they have to go again for session 6.
Scar is red and Joel is yellow.
The vex hybrid is shitless, his wizard cloak dropped on top of a random chest, leaving him in just his underwear.
Joel is also shirtless, his green and purple robe neatly folded, on a different chest, leaving him in just the shorts he wears under the robes.
Joel lays on top of Scar, his head resting on Scar’s collarbone, his cheek on the vex’s chest. His beard tickling the bare skin of Scar’s chest.
The human lays there, chest down, soaking up the warmth the vex hybrid’s body produces while the vext hybrid has his arms around Joel, hands resting on his back, slowly rubbing circles into it with his right hand.
Scar’s hands stills on his back.
Joel’s eyes blow wide in pain as Scar digs the claws of his right hand into his bare back.
Scar trills a chiming chuckle.
or, POst sesion 5 of last life, Vex Scar is hungry and wants a little of Joel's blood to eat.

The angel hybrid turns, slightly confused, that Grian is in his base (well, at least until he sees Scar and Cub with him).
“Hey guys!” Skizz says, “I’m doing good, but uh…why are you in my base?”
“We were wondering if we could grab a snack!” Scar says, a big smile on his face, his sunglasses covering his emerald eyes.
“Oh, I should have something to eat in the kitchen.” he says, walking towards the trio to get into the hall and then his kitchen.
Grian puts a hand on his chest, stopping him.
Skizz raises an eyebrow.
“Not that kind of snack.” Grian says.
Skizz's brain catches up when he sees the sharp toothed grin on Cub’s face, “Oh…Isn't it a little early in the morning for some good ol’ anthropophagy?”

Grian looks in Scar’s eyes, and all he can see in the now gray-blue iris is hunger.
