Work Text:
Clark had seen some truly weird things in his many years as a superhero. Alien worlds, mad scientist monsters, every kind of robot one could imagine, the works. Nothing could phase him.
This, however, was really throwing him. To be fair, though, he didn't think anyone would be prepared to be shoved into an alternate universe where everyone were weasels.
He stared at the alternate universe weasel version of himself. His alternate universe self stared back. They both blinked.
Again. Way too weird.
"We'll have you back to your own universe soon." Weasel Flash reassured him. That was the other trippy thing here. The weasels spoke. Well, it would be infinitely harder if they didn't, so he was grateful, but it was still incredibly off-putting.
"Thank you."
The Weasel Justice League meeting dispersed, and Weasel Superman floated over towards Weasel Batman, making almost chirping noises, before nuzzling Weasel Batman's cheek. Weasel Batman grumbled slightly but leaned into it, and the two of them went off together.
"I guess that's a universal constant." Clark mused to himself, and walked on to where the Weasel Justice League had set up a place for him to stay. He really missed his Batman.
It's a relief, to finally be back in his own universe.
Batman - his Batman - was standing next to the teleporter. Though on the surface he appeared as stoic as ever, Clark could read the relief in every line of his body at Clark's reappearance.
Clark swept Batman up into a relieved hug.
"What's this about?" Bruce asked.
"Oh, nothing. Just glad you're not a weasel. I mean, you were a cute weasel, but I much prefer human you."
"What?!"
