Wanderer could not understand how Aether could find desire in this constructed body. It is smooth to the touch vs the soft flesh of the traveler. Up close one can hear the mechanization of artificial joints click differently to an adventure weary bone pop. His cold touches make Aether shudder and what were nerves but electrical signals, anyway? The artificially-made lifeform's softest part of his body was not his hair but his tongue that could taste. They shared that much, experienced differently.Wanderer tries to be a bitter know it all, but with touches like this...and words too consistently kind to be lies, his mind begins to feel different about it.
