Work Text:

Pyro hadn't seen the castle before. He hadn't even been aware that there was a castle in Oakhurst.

Well, the ruins of one anyway.

The crumbled remains spoke to opulence long past, but it was in a current state of disrepair. Pyro had heard Scott and Owen's conversation at the obelisk, though he hadn't been able to make sense of it then.

Six hundred years.

That was how long Scott had said he had been around for.

The scholar in him wanted to examine and explore every inch of the ruins, documenting whatever he could find. He hopes quietly to himself that Scott allows him to do so. Pyro is sure that Scott himself has an amass of knowledge and stories from hundreds of years ago. They want to ask, but ultimately decide to keep their mouth shut, at least for the time being.

Scott, having been reminded of the state of his castle when they arrived, had grown visibly more irritated. Pyro agreed that building up the structure again would take a lot of effort. Effort he's sure the vampire has no desire to put in, if his sour mood is any indication.

“You would think that the humans would have enough sense to want to maintain my castle. Because of their incompetence, I'm going to have to do manual labour. I'm not made for things like that.” Scott complains, his eyebrows furrowed in distaste.

Pyro listens silently, nodding along as Scott laments his upset.

Scott sighs loudly, shaking his head. He turns to him, resting his hand on Pyro's shoulder, ignoring the tension in Pyro's body as he does so.

“At least I have you here, firelight. It would be so much more unbearable without your pretty face around to keep me company.”

Pyro flusters, his cheeks warming. He can't quite meet Scott's eyes, though that doesn't seem to bother Scott, who brings his hand down to interlock with Pyro's, tugging him along behind him.

“I have something to show you,” he says, a playful smirk pulling up at his lips.

Pyro follows as Scott brings him through the castle ruins, stopping before a large stone staircase down into the ground. Pyro's eyes widen as Scott brings him down, lighting a lantern to illuminate the crypt. The ceilings inside are high and regal, the beautiful carved pillars enough to take Pyro's breath away.

Scott leads them deeper and deeper into the crypt, looking prideful at awe on Pyro's face.

Scott brings them into a big open room, settling the lantern down. Pyro stares into the middle of the room, eyes locked onto the grand marble tomb settled there. They step forward when Scott nods his approval, carefully placing a hand onto the chilled stone.

Pyro glances back at Scott, pulling absently at their sleeves. “...Is this yours?”

“Correct,” Scott grins, following Pyro over.

They jump when Scott boxes them in, his arms landing on either side of them, their back pressed awkwardly against the tomb.

“Scott?”

Pyro swallows thickly, Scott's intense and unwavering stare making them a little hot under the collar. Scott leans in over them, freezing breath ghosting over their ear. Pyro shivers, looking up at Scott nervously through their lashes.

Scott was looking down at them like he wanted to devour them in every sense of the word. It makes goosebumps form on their skin, a chill running down their spine.

“...Scott?” They try again, their voice weak.

Scott hums softly, his eyes looking them up and down. Pyro swallows again, his face flushed at how close Scott is to them. They can't help but stare at Scott's lips, the memory of the kiss they shared at the obelisk flashing in their mind.

Scott smirks, lifting his hand and placing it on their chest, just over their fluttering heartbeat. “Don't look so nervous,” he whispers, as if saying them any louder will break the moment. “Just tell me what you want.”

Pyro looks up at Scott, pausing to think before they answer.

“...Kiss me?”

Scott's smile widens and they know they've said the right thing. “Of course, firelight. All you had to do was ask.”

Scott leans in, his lips finding Pyro's. A whine escapes them as Scott deepens the kiss, holding them close as he explores their mouth, swallowing every little noise that escapes them.

Pyro is the first to break away, breathing hard. Scott watches them with lidded eyes, a darkness there that makes them shudder. Scott's hands move up, finding the buttons on Pyro's shirt and undoing the top ones. Pyro does nothing to stop him as he pulls the blouse down Pyro's trembling shoulders, exposing the freckled skin of their throat.

They shiver at the cold in the crypt, their face heating up the longer Scott stares at them. Scott's fingers slowly trace over Pyro's collarbone, sharp nails brushing over the thin skin before moving up to caress their neck.

Scott presses a kiss to their jaw, before pressing another to the top of Pyro's throat.

Pyro sucks in a breath as Scott trails kisses down to the base of their neck, his fangs grazing the skin. Another whine leaves Pyro's mouth, which turns into a muffled yelp as Scott's fangs sink into their neck.

Pyro winces as one of Scott's hands pulls their hair, forcing their head to the side to expose more of their throat. They stay as still as they can manage as Scott drinks from them, their knees shaking.

They can't say they hadn't expected it to happen. It made sense that Scott would want something for giving them what they asked for.

It doesn't make the sensation of being fed from any more pleasant.

Pyro screws their eyes shut, leaning back hard against the tomb when Scott releases them. He loosens his hand in their hair, running his fingers through it instead. He pulls the ribbon keeping it tied back, making their hair fall just below their collarbone,

Scott hums pleasantly. “So pretty, firelight.”

Pyro looks away. A heavy, uncomfortable feeling settles in their gut contrasting the blush still remaining on their cheeks.

“Thank you.”

Scott smiles, pulling out a handkerchief from his breast pocket and holding it gently to their neck.

“You're welcome.”
