Anthony Crowley could hardly be expected to focus on anything as boring as marking papers when he had anything like this planned with his Angel. They were going to explore a Christmas market, then they had tickets for an opera. When that was all over, he’d get to spend the whole weekend round Asa’s.
Asa would be meeting Anthony in just thirty-seven minutes, and the giddiness of seeing his partner was already setting in. Anthony's toe tapped under his desk, nudging against his packed overnight bag, and he couldn’t stop checking his watch. His students had free time to study right now, he really didn’t want to end up with more work to mark this weekend when he finally had that much time to cuddle and spoil his Angel.
He marked another paper. Thirty-three minutes left.
Maybe he could rearrange those star charts on the wall? Twenty-eight minutes left.
Perhaps he could finish his notes for the last few lectures of the year, he’s still got twenty—
“Hello… so sorry to interrupt, I think I arrived a bit early and thought I might watch you in your natural habitat, as it were.”
Oh, that adorable nervous voice, attached to an adorable soft man, hands wringing in front of him. Asa! His Angel was here early!
Anthony couldn’t hold back his little squeak of excitement any more than he could the unabashed grin as he slammed his laptop shut to stand and promptly dismiss his class.
He practically shooed them all out of the room— none of them were really revising right now, they could leave just fine— so he could pull Asa into a hug and breathe in his vanilla and black tea scent.
“Angel! I thought I was going to die of boredom, are you ready for our weekend?”
