   Summary

   A private detective one day discovers that he likes knowing how to kill everyone around him, using his skills to pick out each person's weakness. Yet, he never feels like he needs to act on the knowledge, the knowing itself enough to satisfy whatever part of his mind that had broken, for now.

   Amy, a local Hunter, knows there's something wrong with her friend. For as long as she's known him, he's been able to take punishment that no normal human should be able to walk off so easily. Despite this, he's never shown any signs of being anything more than strangely hardy, that is, until he suddenly started distancing himself from everyone around him.

   This fanfiction is set in the Chronicles of Darkness universe made in conjunction with the Dark Pack Agreement. While mostly adhering to established canon, A Peculiar Vigil is an unofficial fan project.
