Luke tried to turn around to leave but a hand on his upper arm stopped him. He looked back at the man and suddenly the nervousness came crashing back to him. They were standing so close suddenly, the gloved hand was gently keeping him in place. And, oh…. The Mandalorian was taller than him. He had to look up and he could see his reflection polished helmet of the man. For a crazy second, he remembered how handsome he looked without it.
“Can… Can Jedi really love? Can you…” His voice was hushed like he was scared of the answer but wanted to know it anyway. It threw Luke for a loop, his brain was barely connecting the words with their meaning before it finally clicked. He let out a huff.
“Grogu’s allowed to love you.” He reassured him. “I don’t know what will happen in the future but I wouldn’t ever take that from him.”
au where Luke never made Grogu choose instead he tried his best to become the teacher that Grogu needed. Together they would find a path neither of them expected and that path included Din Djarin.

This is basically an Accidental Warlord Din Djarin fic in which Din plays the role of reluctant DILF leader with a heart of gold and Luke plays the role of initially distrusted twink who quickly becomes beloved by all (especially said warlord). The Mandalorians are like, "we've only had Luke Skywalker for a day and a half but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself."

Sequel to 'While You Were Rambling'.
To those that know him, Luke is a well-known nervous rambler. To those that don't, they can't square his Jedi persona with his wildly clumsy gestures as he talks non-stop about anything and everything. All parties feel sympathy at the sight of Din Djarin apparently trapped by the Jedi's stories, and attempt to mount a rescue. Only the Mand'alor doesn't seem to want to be rescued, much to their confusion.
A series of observers realize that perhaps they'd misread the relationship between the Jedi and Mand'alor, and fondly do their part to usher the two together. Because they need all the help they can get.
