She’s in Haven. 9:41 Dragon. She traveled through space and time, arriving not at Arlathan before Solas’s ritual, but at the Ferelden Conclave, just to be blown up, hurtled back into the Fade she’d so recently escaped from and then out again, now marked by god magic.

When Rook discovers that time travel exists - and her friend Dorian helped pioneer it - she begs him for a favor: send her back to the ritual so she might save her mentor and friend, Varric, from Fen'Harel's knife. Dorian sends her back, all right - eleven years back, to the moment everything went to hell and the Herald of Andraste was born.

“Seducing you,” he says, low and intimate, and with just the hint of the wolf’s smile.
“Why?” she asks, her brow wrinkling with such obvious bewilderment that he can’t help chuckling.
Because I need you to follow my designs. Because our connection is my only path to escaping this prison. Because you are lonely and this could be the key to your trust. Because I have a weakness for arrogant mortals and reluctant leaders.
“Because I want to,” he says honestly.

Solas stopped abruptly, turning to face her. His sharp, piercing gaze caught hers, and for a moment, Rook hesitated. Her breath faltered under the weight of his scrutiny. Slowly, she dropped her eyes to the ground and released her grip on his cloak.
“I swear fealty to you,” she said. “I will be your blade, if you’ll allow it. I know I’ve kept things from you—my story, even my name—but I swear that whatever knowledge I have, it could aid your cause. This I swear.”
She raised her eyes to meet his again, and to her surprise, Solas’s composure cracked. His mouth fell slightly ajar, and he stared at her as if she had just done something unfathomable.
Without waiting for a response, Rook drew her blade from its sheath.
“What are you—” Solas began, but the words faltered as she sliced the edge of the blade across her palm. A sharp hiss escaped her lips as blood seeped over her skin.

Rook ends up in the past in the middle of Solas’ rebellion. Not sure how she got there, she decides to ally herself with the Dreadwolf in hopes of somehow changing the future.
