Summary
Everything is ready.
Luke has watched Ashton lose his head the last few months trying to get everything sorted — filling out forms, renewing his passport, applying for a visa, enrolling in courses — but there’s nothing left. They’re at the airport, Ashton decked out in luggage and dressed for a bitterly cold New York, and until he lands, there’s absolutely nothing more for him to do. The visa came through; his passport is in the clear; he has a fully-scheduled courseload and even a dorm room waiting for him at NYU.
Everything is ready for Ashton to leave. Everything except Luke.

Summary
So Luke finds boys attractive. That’s no big deal.
“But that also happens to me and it doesn't mean I'm not straight. You can appreciate when someone’s attractive even if you're not attracted to them.”
Luke clenches his fists and shifts a little on his spot, clearly uncomfortable.
“Yes, but the thing is that I am attracted to them.”
Or, Luke figures out his sexuality and makes Ashton doubt everything he thought he knew about himself in the process.

Michael scowls from his spot next to Ashton on the couch, crossing his arms defiantly. “Here we go again.”

Ashton is the one to blame for this messed up situation.
Ashton and his inviting smile. Ashton and his hand caressing Luke's hips gently, a beautiful brunette girl in his other arm. Ashton and his lips on Luke's ear, soft voice whispering ‘Come on, it'll be fun’.
The next thing Luke remembers, he’s making out with that same girl in the backseat of Ashton's car. His bandmate and friend driving them home while sneaking interested stares through the rearview mirror and smiling every time his lustful eyes met Luke's.
Or, Luke's never been good at no strings attached (and maybe the girls in his threesomes with Ashton are just an excuse).
