Summary
"She’s shoving her hair out of her eyes, pressing at the bruises around her neck, clawing at the tight, tight, awful denim around her knees, and clenching her jaw. There’s another flash of red light in the sky, and it makes Robin feel like death has pinched her ribs with cold, grassy fingers, and oh, she’s drowning in her own body. There’s an incessant crackling coming from not that far off, and it makes Robin’s vision go all foggy. A gasp is torn from her lips, followed by a groan, and Robin feels her guts roiling as the blood from her nose spirals into her throat. Her whole body lurches, writhes, and turns itself inside out.
Robin is dying."
---
OR- Something happened to Robin, but she can't remember what exactly it was. Featuring lesbian disaster Robin, good mom Steve, pining Nancy, and the chaos of children unsure of how to deal with grief. -

Summary
Robin Buckley’s life has never been particularly exciting, but she does find that lately, it’s full of surprises.
She’s surprised at how easy it is to excel in all of her senior-level classes. She’s surprised at how much fun she’s having with her best friend at their grating yet tolerable job. Hell, she’s surprised that Steve Harrington’s her best friend in the first place.
And she’s never liked surprises, but these are the good kind of surprises.
The good kind, that is, until she finds herself in a place she never imagined she’d be: head-over-heels for her best friend’s ex-girlfriend, Nancy Wheeler.
But the biggest surprise of all may be how far Robin is willing to go to protect all three of them from the havoc that her two-faced affection would wreak if anyone was able to see it.
(Or: in an Upside-Down free AU, Robin Buckley and Eddie Munson run the gamut on the human emotional spectrum during their senior year at Hawkins High in a little over a hundred thousand words)

Summary
“You’re going to mess up your lipstick. Worked hard on that.” Nancy’s hand is gripping Robin’s chin. Her finger almost in Robin’s mouth. Pressing. Robin can’t get any relief.
“Sorry. Bad habit,” Robin forces out. Her voice sounds rough, breathy, nothing like herself.
Nancy smiles, kind. Even this close to Robin, Nancy looks at her like there’s nothing wrong with her, with the way she is. All of Robin’s incompetence and how uncontrollable she feels sometimes, Nancy sees all of it. And Nancy, perfect fucking Nancy Wheeler, doesn’t shy away. She wants more, more of Robin.
Or: Robin thinks she’s losing her mind. Nancy thinks Robin likes a boy.

Summary
Robin Buckley has never really had close friends, has always felt like an outsider, even in her own family. Then she spends a summer at Scoops Ahoy with Steve Harrington, slinging ice cream and fighting Russians, and now she can't seem to get rid of him (or his brood of children).
Or:
Robin adjusts to life after Starcourt and builds herself a little family with Steve and Max (and then later, Nancy Wheeler).
