Summary

Just then, Iruka thought of something, something brilliantly stupid. “I’ll bet you on that” he mutters loud enough for the purple haired woman to hear before drinking his beverage.
Oh no.
“Oh yeah, Umino? You wanna bet?” Anko grinned, licking her lips “Cause I’m all in. If he isn’t here by month end, I’m calling him a lying stinking bum AND you buy me a new trench coat.”
“Fine,” Iruka says, slamming the empty glass cup. “Month end. If I win, you serenade Ibiki in front of his students.”
“I’ll bet your ass on that!” Anko cheers, slamming her fist on the table. “You're on, Umino.”
Or, Iruka has a secret: he’s dating someone. Well, sort of, kinda. It’s complicated. He didn’t actually think online dating would work but for the past six months, he’s been in utter bliss. After hanging out at a bar with friends, he runs into a small issue. Well, two actually. One, Iruka has never seen his boyfriend’s face and two, his friends don’t believe him.
Or, Kakashi is camera shy.

Iruka saw them less and less. He hadn’t seen Naruto nor Sakura in the past few days, only occasionally seeing them during breakfast or dinner—if he was lucky. His saya and katana were replaced with an obi wrapped tightly around his waist, his bandages were removed, his wounds and scars covered with a long haori that dragged uncomfortably, his eyes were smudged with kohl and his lips tinted with red. A perfect porcelain doll.
“A beautiful pearl.” His aunt Chieko commented, tying his long hair with a piece of mottoi and adding a tama stick. “Alphas want omegas with good taste. You must be calm, obedient—work fast paced, with good breeding and a slim waist.” His other aunt said, holding his chin as he was pampered.
“You will bring honor to us all.” They told him before sending him off.
Or, Not wanting to be married to a suitor, Iruka runs away only to meet Kakashi.
