Summary

convincingstrong-arming Tim into letting them use one of the safe-houses for Christmas Eve, Kon and Bart find out the spiked-eggnog has an unexpected effect upon half-Kryptonians and leads to an eventful and emotionally revealing Christmas Eve alone in one of the Teen Titans safe-houses.(Please read the notes before reading for clarity. This fic is not based in Teen Titans Vol. 3.)
This is a Kon-based Secret Santa Fic for Percy! I hope you like it!
I used a mix of these two prompts provided:
1. Kon and your choice of YJ member though Bart has my heart are stuck in a safe house for the holidays. Superheroes or not, they have to find a way to pass the time. Baking? Watching Die Hard? The world is their oyster and maybe this will start a new tradition

Hopeless, is what their love is because Conner cannot stay in the 31st century like Bart so desperately wants him to. A love doomed before it even began, Bart desperately tries to find a way to keep him and must come to accept that they can't be together. Or can they?

"Physical books and literature had the highest chance of successful archival during and after The Great Shutdown. We lost centuries of digital history during then - and the following war and subsequent wars. For a long time Earth wasn’t really a place where people were concerned about watching vids. They were concerned about just surviving. It was only after things stabilized and rebuilding began that historical artifacts were of interest. We’re still finding things from your time and it’s a big deal when it happens.”
The 25th century,” Bart answered. “Terrans were in an insane brutal war with sentient AIs, synthetics and mechanica. The only way they saw a way to win was to shut down everything with an electrical current through the use of some sort of… spore, I think? History is really choppy. Anyway, that led to a win in the war, but then years of struggle due to the loss of essential technology.”
“Four hundred years from me…” Kon frowned, troubled. “Why wasn’t Superman or Wonder Woman or one of the other immortal heroes around to prevent it? There’s gotta be at least a dozen of them.”
Bart sighed. “Don’t know. No one does. There’s theories but none that have been proven right. Some say Superman lives in the sun right now and he’s been there since the twenty-two hundreds, others that he’s in another galaxy, another reality, and there’s also some evidence that he’s dead, with all the other heroes from your time . That Shutdown really did erase centuries of history, Kon. History we don’t have access to.”
“I don’t think anyone can really ‘mess up’ time - I think that’s just something people assume can happen, but trust me, when you have my powers and you regularly see how time flows you get an intimate understanding of how much it’s not linear. I get into debates with Brainy about it all the time.”
“Are you talking about string theory?” Kon asked and Bart blinked, imagining strings in effigies of people having a scientific debate. “... Fuck not even string theory survived.”

“It’s weird right?” Bart broke the silence. “This world. It’s like- it’s like we went on vacation and while we were gone someone moved all our furniture over an inch. And while nothing really looks different you feel like there’s something wrong.”
“Yes! That’s exactly what it's like! I haven’t been able to put my finger on it but that’s exactly what it is.” Bart had stopped drawing in the dirt but Conners eyes dropped to look at his fingers. “Everyone is different… even Tim and Cassie. I mean they have their memories back but not really. They’re not the same and it feels weird. You’re the only one who’s still the same.” Conners head shot up. “I mean that as a good thing!”
