Summary
Tim pulled away from the kiss to catch his breath, still panting from the fight, but feeling his cheeks darken from all the excitement. He smiled and released his grip of Kon’s curls to gently comb his fingers through his hair and feel Kon melt, almost going limp under his touch. He was so easy to melt into a small little puddle, just the right amount of kisses and pets and he’d be pliant and easy for Tim to handle.
But Tim wondered how easily he could rile him up.

He’s seen Robin take a hit before. Hell, they were heroes! Young Justice! They’ve taken more hits than any of them could count!
But Robin would always respond back with some reassurance, even if he was lying through his teeth. Sometimes it’d be quick banter back, maybe a few grunts if it was bad. Instead, it was as if everything grinded to a halt after the sound of something cracking rang in his ears.
Now, Superboy couldn’t hear anything from Robin. No pulse. No heartbeat. He couldn’t hear anything from Robin. Why couldn’t he hear anything??”

Or YJ is on a very important mission. So Kon and Tim do what they do best: argue. When the weather turns brutal and Tim ends up soaked and shivering, Kon pulls him into his TTK barrier. It’s practical. It’s tactical. It’s absolutely not a hug.
