Travis does just as told, and he is flushed, panting like a dog, pathetically grinding into the platform of Angel’s shoe, looking like he’s half a heartbeat away from an orgasm and clearly leaking at the sound of Val’s barked orders. This might cause Val to hesitate on bossing him around the studio next time they get to work, but that is a problem for future Val to figure out. Right now, he’s having way too much fun.

Summary
The knot in Angel’s throat tightens–he doesn’t know where he was expecting to find Val, in all honesty, he was hoping he would have just left the studio entirely. He would’ve taken a break just as instructed, calmed himself down, redone his makeup and convinced himself that it was purely a business move on Val’s part and that he wouldn’t come back. The problem with Val was that he never let the lies Angel told himself live for very long. He always found a way to cut them at the root.
“Why the fuck did you come here?” Angel instinctively wraps the robe around himself. It’s a pale blue, it’s stiff, itchy, plain, nothing like the luxurious ones he always wore around Val’s studio.
“Business.” Val spits the word like a curse and lights his cigarette, but doesn’t stand up.
“Bullshit.”

Every single night for weeks, he’d gotten so close to giving up and just going to beg for a fix, he could practically taste it already – and yet, he endured, kept waking up and attending his designated redemptive activities, and then went to work on set, giving his all for the performance, rinse and repeat…
After all, if he was good enough, the drug would come to Angel – and when it comes to getting what he needs from his daddy? Angel can be the very best.

Summary
Angel held back every groan as he dragged himself off the couch. He didn't know how long Val had been gone, or how long he had until he returned. But he had to do something. With fumbling fingers, Angel pulled out his phone and squinted as he pulled up Cherri’s contact. They had a code, something Val would never figure out. A phrase both of them had agreed upon months ago in case one or the other got in too much trouble. So simple.
Coffee tomorrow?
Angel deleted the message right after it was sent, and for good measure, dropped the phone into a glass of scotch, speaker-down. He watched it flicker into death, then crawled back onto the couch. He’d have to wait until he was more alert to escape, but he could do it. He could last a few more days while Val calmed down. While he thought Angel wouldn’t go anywhere.
But he was fucking leaving, and soon.
